Hi there,
There are words I never share on Instagram. Not because they aren’t good enough, but because they feel softer, more private. This space is where I’ll send them to you, like a letter I’d rather hand over quietly than post for the world to scroll past.
Here’s one of them:
i think i am the kind of person who people fall in love with too quickly
and i don’t mean to complain because it is wonderful to be loved
but i am also the kind of person who people walk away from when they realize
the beautiful pool of water that they wandered into is actually an ocean
with too many questions
i wish my company didn’t make people feel like they’re drowning
mystery draws them in
then mystery makes them leave
When I wrote this, I was thinking about how connection can feel both magnetic and fleeting, how we often long to be understood without losing the depth that makes us who we are.
That’s why I wanted to share this poem here first. This feels like a quieter room, a space where words don’t get rushed past, where you can just sit with them for a moment.
If this reached you, I’d love to know… what’s one thing about you that people often misunderstand at first?
Thank you for opening this and letting me write to you like this. I’ll be back soon with more poems I’ll never post anywhere else.
